DMC Heads to the White House to Join in President Obama's Father's Day Festivities
Heading into this Father's Day weekend, President Obama will kick off "a national conversation on fatherhood." At the event, the president will be joined by some big names from the worlds of sports, cuisine, medicine, and entertainment: former Pittsburgh Steelers football coach Bill Cowher, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, actor B.D. Wong, chef Bobby Flay, the Northwestern Cancer Center's Steve Rosen and Run DMC's Darryl McDaniels, just to name a few.
While in attendance, DMC will join in visiting local non-profit organizations to share his stories with local youth in order to help inspire the young men and women of DC to achieve their dreams and aspirations. Following this visit, DMC will also participate in a barbecue hosted by the president at the White House, where local high school junior and senior young men will be in attendance, listening to the wisdom of Darryl DMC McDaniels, famed rapper and beloved father.
